Irish and Chin, Inc. is single handedly responsible for launching and revitalizing the careers of scores of sound systems and selectors. As sound systems and selectors are the foundation of Jamaican music, they whole-heartedly deserve the exposure and long-term success. In an effort to keep people informed about the happenings in the sound system and sound clash arena, Irish and Chin, Inc. launched irishandchin.com in 2003. The site receives over 2.5 million hits a month. By dancehall fans, the site is clearly recognized as the top online resource of sound system and sound clash news.

In February 2005, Irish and Chin, Inc. launched The Battlefield, a page dedicated to sound systems and sound clash culture in Jamaica’s weekly tabloid, XNews. After publishing The Battlefield for several months, Irish and Chin, Inc. decided to collaborate their efforts of their annual World Clash Magazine and The Battlefield. In early 2006, Irish and Chin, Inc. will launch Battlefield, a semi-annual magazine dedicated the thriving sound system industry and dancehall culture.

In addition to breaking barriers in the sound clash and dancehall communities with corporate sponsorship of their events, Irish and Chin, Inc. has also made history with the release of their skillfully produced DVDs and CDs. After years of watching street vendors and stores sell unofficial versions of their events, Irish and Chin, Inc. decided to take the production, distribution and marketing of their signature events into their own hands. In July 2004, Irish and Chin, Inc. released the extraordinary DVD of Death Before Dishonor “World Clash Jamaica,” which boasted quality audio and camera shots. The stellar DVD enabled sound clash fans to relive the event’s excitement. Death Before Dishonor “World Clash Jamaica” is the first clash DVD produced, distributed and marketed at such magnitude. Since the release of the Death Before Dishonor “World Clash Jamaica” DVD, Irish and Chin, Inc. has released several other video and audio of their popular events including World Clash Antigua, World Clash Canada, World Clash New York, Crossfire, Warr in the Capital, etc.

For over 8 years, Irish and Chin, Inc. has promoted and produced premier entertainment events including sound clashes, concerts, tours and parties in arenas throughout the United States, Caribbean, Canada, Europe and Japan. The world-renowned “World Clash” in 1998 officially put Irish and Chin, Inc. on the map. “World Clash” is officially billed as the Olympic competition of the sound system industry.

World Clash set a standard for high-caliber sound clashes and dancehall event productions. Since World Clash’s inception in New York, Irish and Chin, has expanded World Clash competitions to markets including Jamaica, Canada, Antigua and the United Kingdom. Besides staging and producing a multitude of stellar sound clash competitions and dancehall events, Irish and Chin, Inc. has also consulted numerous promoters and companies on event production and promotions.

After a stunning 1999 World Clash victory, Irish and Chin forged a managerial/business relationship with Mighty Crown. This sound system, who hails from Japan, has shocked dancehall fans throughout the world with their passion for dancehall music and culture, which includes the art of sound clashing. As Mighty Crown reigns as one of the sound clash industry’s leading sound systems, Irish and Chin, Inc. secure and coordinate performances for Mighty Crown throughout the year. Together, Mighty Crown and Irish and Chin, Inc. have taken sound clashing to another level. Through Irish and Chin, Inc., Mighty Crown receives bookings in key U.S. cities, the Caribbean and Europe.
