reading this blog page for the first time and watc hing the videos... however i just notice how unint ellgent some people can be while being narrow mind ed too.

Ryderz, point taken! Stone Love is not doing wel l right now, however they are booked more then eve ry sound in the business. therefore it is clear t hat they are the REAL sound. I think working with them to clean things up is a start. People seem to listern to them and respect them as well doers

Ganja Man, i use to think just like you! But man aging Mighty Crown over the last eight years has g iven me a diffrent perspective. Being the World Im mortal doesn't have to mean they are baddest clash sound in the business. It can be defined as a so und who has boken generation barriers and to date continues to be rated among the massive. Hence t he term "Stone Love Stands Alone". There is no Clash sound that has a bigger market then St one Love! Give them credit!

They were leaders as far as trends and production (riddims) adding it all together. Business model o f building the brand and getting legit sponsors to endorse THEIR style of music was good for the ind ustry (even if too much ego was associated with th eir 'Stands Alone' and 'The Immortal').
I think t hey as a unit lost the goals and didnt plan for te chnological changes. Where are the newer, younger selectors in training? The Website that details th eir dates worldwide to solidify the center of the SOUND SYSTEM industry and guaranteed bookings? Ble ss them that they took major steps but EURO sounds show more organization and desire to set the new standards.
SLove can play out every weekend of th e year but overall the industry needed them to car ry the next generation of sounds (from Jamaica) wi th them. Also carry the next generation of artists FROM the world TO Jamaica... Personally they don 't play the variety of WORLD artists i think they should based on the many dif...
