Im a 18 year old trying to b uild a one man sound of a toronto. and as your wer e saying about kids who look up to those elite sou nds and chase a dream, i am infact one of them. An d your are completly right about not needing dubpl ates to become famous. of all the young sounds in toronto right now, i would consider myself the mos t creative, innovative, and well-known. WITHOUT ha ving any dubplates. I have already seen what you s een with the whole 'dubplates ruining the industry ' when sounds are simply re writting songs with th e same melody. That i beleive will not succeed in the business.
I personally rate bass odyssey of a ll sounds for their dubplates because they cut the ir dubs to atleast make it 75% sound like the orig inal 45. The only reason why dubs are killing the industry is because it is no long to put advertise your name in a chune, Its now to get a false poin t across that you are a bad sound.

Yes Chin, I'm a Dj/Selecta going on two decades no w, I can overstand what you saying about the Dubs vs 45 topics cause I started off like many youths back in the day running to the local record shops in Brooklyn with my little bit of money to buy the hottest new 7in to be the first one to bust it i n a dance, clash or mixtape... and I've made the t ransition to the digital world of Djaying now but still try to keep the basic foundation of jugglin tunes for the people instead of all of the mix up and Rae rae... cause at the end of the day your au dience are the ones that will make their final jud gement.. Dubs of today are no where near how they once was.. The 45 clash I think it's a wicked idea hope it works out.. I would like to be some part of that.. link me I-ya.....save the sound sytem De m!!!
