The reggae and dancehall massive in New Jersey have been giving me some great energy. I'm not sure what it is but the love that I'm getting from New Jersey's Sound Chat show is overwhelming. Of course I changed up Tuesday's show a little; it's different from Monday's show in many ways yet it's still sound system/sound clash oriented but with a lot more vibes.
New York show on Monday's is a lot more laid back which allows me to have in-depth conversations with callers. Jersey is a whole different ball game, energy from start to finish; no long talking just cut and go through. My guest this week was Baby Cham who now calls himself just 'Cham' it was a really good interview. We spoke about his career from day one, his allegiance with Dave Kelly, his feud with Bounty Killer and his current releases. Most of all what surprised listeners was the fact that Cham announced that the female featured in his two latest singles, Whine and Tun Up is his wife. The interview was maaaddd!!
Later on in the program we also spoke to Konshens. He currently has a number of songs in rotation creating frenzy in the dancehall but our discussion was mostly about world clash. Undoubtedly, Konshens scored the most dub plate recorded over the World Clash weekend. His single, Do Sumn was played about a million times, lol! I'm gonna say big up to Jersey once again and thanks for the love.
