Tifa and Stacious vs Reggae Sumfest

It appears that all was not well at the just concluded Reggae Sumfest Festival as young Dancehall divas Tifa and Stacious have made the bold move to speak out against the event's organisers. They both contend that the event's personneltifa needed to treat female performers with more respect. Tifa has said that this is the second consecutive year that she has been verbally disrespected by the Sumfest Stage Manager and has witnessed other persons getting into heated arguments with the same person.

The pair complained that they were not given equal pay, or accomodations as it pertains to backstage arrangements, passes and scheduled time of performances. As we reported in Sumfest review last week Stacious, Tifa and Spice were all made to perform before 11pm.

Stacious stated that females too work just as hard and should be given equal opportunity added that she witnessed some artistes tents being laid out with everything for their comfort while her tent didn't even have water. Tifa went further acknowledging that she was indeed taking a risk by making her frustrations public but that something had to be done.
