Vybz Kartel will miss the launch of his first book 'Voice of The Jamaican Ghetto'.

The artiste who is behind bars and who co-authored the book, completed the manuscript in the summer of 2011, which is co-authored by Michael Dawson. On its cover Kartel wrote " I pray this book will help to change Jamaica forever." The book is meant to open discussions on classism, racism among other 'isms and schism' that still exist ion modern day Jamaica.

The book launch is set to take place at a car wash just across from the Horizon Remand Centre, where the deejay is currently being held today.

Kartel is currently behind bars awaiting trial on murder charges, next court date is July 16th. He has been behind bars since September of last year.
