Organiser's of the One Love Peace Festival has issued the following statement.

"It is with deep regret to inform the public that we have had to cancel this year's One Love Peace festival, it has been a tumultuous and disastrous year for most events of this nature, as the impact of the Olympic Games and the Queens Jubilee has placed enormous strain on the limited supply of outdoor infrastructure, causing many festival to be cancelled including  Glastonbury one of the worlds biggest Festival."

The organisers had decided to move the event to the indoor Wembley Arena in September, but after serious consideration it was decided to not to go ahead as they would have suffered a substantial loss.

"We  would have been unable to recover our cost," the organisers said.
