Singjay Khago has now inked a production and booking deal with the independent music label Down Sound records. Founder and head of Down Sound Records Josef Bogdanovich, believes him to be "the next big artiste out of Jamaica because of his crossover appeal and his wonderful work ethic"  which he thinks is on par with the embattled Vybz Kartel."

For several weeks Khago has been embroiled in a heated public feud with artistes such as Assassin and Sizzla which the singjay says has worked in his favour as he has gained many new fans and bookings.
