After having the pleasure of re-connecting with clash fans by being on the road with Mighty Crown and Rodigan over the Thanksgiving weekend I started brainstorming.......
I think I've been in the office doing the corporate thing too long. It's time for me to revised that love hate relationship that exist among myself and clash fans. Trust me, there is nothing like hearing clash fans talk shit, it's an adrenaline rush which has always kept me one step ahead of the game. What I love about clash fans is they speak their minds without hesitation. No censorship, no holding punches just plain "fuck you Chin". Lol
With that being said, this Friday at Global Clash I will be hosting 'Sound Chat' from Brooklyn, New York. It will be a crazy vibe. I'm setting up my cameras outside the venue and I'll be talking to the patrons as they roll in to witness this year's competition. It will be all about the fans. Who they think will win! Who they think will lose! Who they think will flop real bad!
I plan to catch some of the sound systems on their way in with that confident look on their faces and on their way out with tears in their eyes. It's gonna be so funny to hear what people have to say about the sounds in the clash, me and whatever else is on their minds.
Get it straight... we won't have any cameras in the venue because the promoter is doing his own thing as far as the production of the footage goes. But outside the venue it's gonna be 'Sound Chat' all night.....
See you there.
