The past weekend was maddd!!! I had a whole lot of fun on the road with Mighty Crown and Rodigan. I haven't been on the road with them in a long time. I kind of forgot what it felt like to be a sound man. The vibes was wicked. The shows were all different but had one thing in common; the patrons were very receptive to the vintage selections. To be honest, Kartel and Mavado songs were not played until minutes before closing time.
Rodigan and Mighty Crown managed to entertain the audience with strong vintage selections. Based on the response it was a breath of fresh air- a break from the norm. The best stop on the tour to me was Canada. Canada had so much vibes; it was nice to see young people partying to old music. Lol.
There was one glitch on the tour. On the way back from Atlanta we arrived at the airport late and missed our flight. It was chaotic... everybody was trying to get back home from Thanksgiving vacation. All the flights were booked solid. We were supposed to be on the first flight out at 9:30 am but we couldn't get on a flight until about 6 pm. Rodigan was so pissed, he turned 'red' in the airport LOL. The problem was his flight connected to a London flight which he could not miss. It took a couple hours but we begged and got him out in time to catch the connection. As for the rest of us: me, Sami, Ninja and Joe Young (a young selector out of Queens, NY) it was 10 hours in the airport.
Anyway I am back in Jamaica working on some upcoming projects and will give you a sneak peek very soon. That's it for now... all roads lead to Global clash this weekend.
I need my own plane LOL.
