According to our sources, last week clash fans in Canada had a blast. Ron Nelson, the country's ace clash promoter staged the return of his signature event..... FULLY LOADED (dubbed off the famous show in Jamaica).
This one ..... although bearing his Fully Loaded format was titled Reloaded, and rightly so because Ron has been on a hiatus for a number of years. The term Reloaded was a significant title because during his promotional campaign he announced that he had settled his differences with Irish and Chin and once again will be entering the arena with high caliber clash events.
This year's Reloaded was a multi sound system event spanning over two nights. Both nights were well attended and full of energy from patrons and sound systems alike. A lot of big dubs and strong speeches were made which complimented Ron's weekend of entertainment. It wasn't a clash so the speak but the way the sound systems performed it definitely felt like one. Among some of the names that stood out at this year's event were: Tasha Roses, Lexxus Supreme, Outkast and King Klepto to name a few.
I must say welcome back to Ron Nelson. I don't always agree with his methods but I'll be the first to say he plays an important role in his demographic as it relates to the sound clash arena. Later this month Ron Nelson will hit Canada hard again as he will be hosting Mighty Crown and Rodigan together under one roof for the first time ever in Canada.
