Next week's SOUND CLASH is with the original BOUNTY KILLA sound system SUPER DEE. It's very educational! I spoke to Freddy, a one time member of Kingston's juggling and sound clash champion. It was a vibe! In the early 90's Freddy and team leader Nuts had the sound industry in Kingston under pressure. For years, I heard a rumor that they got so big that Wee Pow of Stone Love saw them as a threat. Therefore, he devised a plan that later lead to their destruction. I don't know if such rumor is true or false, but I asked Freddy what took place. His reply was interesting!
We also spoke about the SUPER DEE and STONE LOVE clash that turn into a fist fight. It caused Malcom X to get fired from Stone Love and started a rivalry between the two sounds.
