How di money a go share ?

For those of you who didn't hear the news as yet, Baby Face, Brooklyn's defeated icon, announced on Brooklyn's Red Hot Radio that TONY MATTERHORN will be rejoining him on King Addies.  This announcememt comes of course after he got destroyed by Black Kat last month...lol.  I guess Panther knocked some sense in his stupid ass. So, the word is in the streets. No one has received an interview from Matterhorn yet.  However, it's been reported that Matterhorn made a post on Twitter announcing his return to King Addies. In the days to come --  I am hoping to get an interview regarding his return to Addies.

Off the air, Baby Face went on to say the first sound he plans to kill is Mighty Crown and batty bwoy Chin -- because me a par with Shebada.  I guess Face is still upset with me because of those dubs we played dissing him in London...lol.  These dudes need a new card though!  Let Trooper enjoy the fame from his Shebada jokes in peace nuh! It's the only glory Trooper has had in years. Besides, since when has Baby Face become so clash hungry? All of a sudden the man created a hit list of sounds to clash because he will have Matterhorn to fight his battles. When he was on his own, where was all his Mighty Crown chat?   I see it already. Face is planning to live off Tony Matterhorn's strength. NOT GOOD!

Here is my take.  Baby Face finally realized that he has backed himself into a corner with his attitude toward people and his demeanor.  Being booed repeatedly in Brooklyn was a reality check for him. His ego is killing his talent!  So, what better way to climb out of the hole he dug and get the one person everyone loved on King Addies to return?  With Matterhorn in the picture, the fans are sure to rally around the "KING SOUND" once again.  A perfect plan some may think, but it has a better chance of failing than winning I believe! Fans should not be delusional.  In order for this to work, Baby Face has to give Matterhorn the lead and become the man in the background.  What are the chances of that happening? Matterhorn will outweigh him in all aspects.  Please note:  Baby Face could not handle Matterhorn's fame on Addies in the late 90's, so how the hell will he handle it now?  Now, it's even stickier.  Matterhorn is Jamaica's most achieved selector and a good recording artiste, while ten years later, Baby Face is still fighting to be recognized.

Matterhorn does not need to play King Addies.  Matterhorn is a smart motherfucker!  He knows why he agreed to play Addies again.  I believe that once he gets the hype he will be gone.  Matterhorn knows what to do to stay HOT and I respect him for that.  He taught me a lot about self marketing.  I know where he is going with this because I know how he thinks! There's no way Matterhorn will ever limit himself to King Addies!! This whole thing is a temporary fix, a mere gimmick to get the streets buzzing and I love it. But in a few months Baby Face and Matterhorn are gonna be responsible for a lot of disappointed fans.

Furthermore, I can bet that this whole situation is exaggerated.  Matterhorn returning to Addies is bullshit and doesn't make much sense. I think that more than likely Matterhorn will still be doing Matterhorn but when Addies has a big clash he will be hired to defend the sound system.  He won't be with them all the time. The Matterhorn brand is a solo product not to be shared. So, those of you who are rejoicing -- let's not get too happy until we see how this unfolds.

Another problem will be money! Often, Matterhorn's booking fee ranges from $5,000 - $8,000 USD. What will he be paid on King Addies?  I bet after a while he will demand that his cut be more money than Baby Face's.   But given his status I personally think such a demand would be justifed.  I am just not sure that Baby Face would agree with me.   Money and ego will be the issues here! Trust me, I know Matterhorn all so well -- please believe that he loves money!  Once it starts to work out, Matterhorn will try and capture all the credit and start to feel his name is bigger than King Addies.  That will not be something that Baby Face will  be able to handle or ignore and bad vibes will kick in.  Bare in mind that  Baby Face is asking for about $7,000 USD for him to clash solo on King Addies. I can't wait to hear what the booking price for him and Matterhorn will start at.

Again, my gut feeling is that Matterhorn just wants to grab a few minutes of glory.  He does not intend to have a career on King Addies.  There is an opportunity for him to show off his skills and prove that he can still clash.  THAT IS ALL IT IS!  Matterhorn is his own BOSS and will never go back to working under the management of Baby Face.  With this being said, I figure they may do a few clashes together before the shit hits the fan.  In the mean time, I await the Mighty Crown call from Baby Face.  He better have some money $$$.  I'm gonna deal with him just like how he deals with everyone else who calls him for a big clash.
