In your face!!!

Lol.. Now I realize why people dislike Baby Face of Addies. Over the weekend I had a run in with this dude at a KING STUR GAV dance in Kingston. I can't figure out the problem though.. maybe he's going crazy lol.. losing his mind and shit because he is lost in the sauce.

Check it out! I'm chilling back stage at the show, holding a vibe. I saw Danny Dread and hailed him up, because he stopped by the office earlier in the day and asked for me. So a conversation starts with Danny and myself. He told me that he stopped in to tell me about the KING STUR GAV dance happening tonight. This was of course because he knew I was trying to catch up with a number of veteran artistes and selectors for our " SOUND CHAT " section of the website.

The convo led to us exchanging numbers. Then!!! right in the middle of the exchange, I hear a voice from behind saying "Danny Dread don't talk to dem pussy deh, we nuh want nutten from dem bwoy deh" when i turned around it was Baby Face lol.. This dude had steam coming from his ears. Danny Dread was just standing there like "what the fuck is Face talkin about?" It was funny as shit to see this dude acting like a fool infront of everyone. However, he continued to be persistent and the smile disappeared from my face! This dude was trying to play me.. he was seriously upset that Danny Dread was talking to me!

Real Talk! I was not about to take any disrespect from Baby Face, especially because I never disrespected this kid. Infact quite recently I have beeen the one defending his honor among clash fans who think he is washed up. (such defence can be seen in my recent blog and my chat with TEK 9 ). So, with that being said I had to let him have it. I dissed him back. The agruement got a little loud because he was talking and walking away at the same time, so we began shouting back and forth. It could have gotten out of hand, but Danny Dread asked me to hold it down and I did. Beside, it was not a good look for someone of my caliber.

The funny thing is I never knew me and Face had a real problem. I know he talks alot of shit behind my back, but figured it was just talk. He does that shit to everyone that is doing well without him. He was acting like a fool at UK CUP CLASH one year, but i figured it was just sound talk because Mighty Crown dissed the shit out of him and he was embrassed. Did not know he had all out beef with me. I mean what problems could I have with Baby Face? Irish and Chin only booked Addies 2 times in 13 years. The only booking that included Baby Face was in 97. We don't share the same surroundings. We have never really been friends. However, there was a time he helped me get some Hip Hop dubs and I paid him for his assistance. Oh!!! there was a time when Eton, the owner of Addies and I formed a business relationship to get the sound back out there. Things were doing ok, it showed promised until Baby Face came back in the picture and told the boss he would not work with me. Which was cool because his ego would have fucked things up anyway. So, come to think of it... he has had something against me for a long time. But.... his feelings don't effect my life, so who cares!! I have never had a problem with any member of Addies other than Baby Face, what does that tell you ?

And just to piss Baby Face off... Next week I will post a full interview with Danny Dread on Irishandchin.com. I went to see Danny Dread a few days before the Baby Face run in and spoke to him about King Addies and alot more. The interview was madddd! Big Up KING ADDIES! LOL!!!
