So it's official... King Addies heads back to Brooklyn to face off with the "War Tanker". I am so glad to see this flyer , but I don't know what to say about this one. King Addies has been out of it for awhile. I would love to see them in top form again, but i am not sure if they are fully prepared to live up the their name.

What King Addies has in their favor though is that they are the most feared sound in the history of the arena (next to Jaro). So with fear as a major weapon... the only thing left for them to do is to step up their performance which has really been poor lately.

I refuse to count Addies out, for years clash fans have been saying Addies have been done with since Tony Matterhorn went solo. But, I tend to differ! REAL TALK!! Baby Face has his ways. He is not someone that i am fond of at all , but his talent and contribution goes without doubt. Baby Face was killing sounds way before Tony Matterhorn thought about playing Addies. He has always been the true killer on Addies, Matterhorn was more of a mouth piece than a mastermind. Baby Face just has to get back to who he was.. Stop acting like the business owes him something and prove his worth. Lose the ego.. and kill sound. It's a new day....the new generation couldn't care less about what Baby Face did in the past. Clash fans today don't care about "OLD G"status, they want to see action.

Undoubtedly America has yet to produce anything close to another Baby Face. He put USA on the map. It is because of Baby Face why USA sounds gained respect in the international arena, not Matterhorn and/or Danny Dread. It was Baby Face!! Danny Dread did his thing, but Face was the fear factor. Danny Dread had the musical knowledge that led the team and Matterhorn later came in with the slick speech. But Addies International fame mainly came from the talents of Baby Face. You can't be a clash fan and deny that.

All Baby Face has to do is focus. When you are as talented as he was.. you don't lose it! It just takes concentration and effort to get it out. He out weighs Panther musically. He is more aggressive. He has bigger dubs. He just needs to find himself again. He does not need to become a now-a-days selector, clash fans want to see him perform as he did in his glory days. In short... King Addies will continue to fail... until Baby Face realizes that he is a legend with a flawless resume. And with such honor he has to present himself as a master of his craft. Focus on the goal at hand.... King Addies!... Come to war prepared! Get those anthems together! Dust off the big dubs! Be ready for tune fi tune! Don't get caught up in too much new dubs because that is not what clash fans want to hear from Addies. Remember that clash fans today have less knowledge of music, so don't go too deep.. And most of all... Fuck petty Internet argument and street suss! To be treated like a KING, one must act like a KING!

I must say "This one is hard.... my money is on Black Kat, but my heart wants to see King Addies win! Addies winning would be great for the business!"

This is going to be a wicked clash....I can't wait for this clash to go down. First I think that this Warrr God is a dumb ass. Anyone who pick up reggae music and promote it world wide should be judged on their character and the way they promote it. We are all west indian. My sound is a hand me down sound from my father, he moved to NY and I pick up the sound when I reached of age, so if I make it big and make a name for myself, I won't be respected???... .Babyface is a legend, I have never met the yute, but I have heard and seen video of Babyface clashing and can see why Chin say what him ah say. True, Addies dead out for a while, but it would be nice to see them back active in the clash arena and killin' sounds. I believe that if you are from my generation (28 y.o.)and you want to know what a real clash is then you need to buy some cassette from at least 89' until now and get some knowledge. I got a Jaro v Bass Odyssey clash in my car now....I know how to play sound, I know how to clash and what tunes to play and at what time to play them at and it because of selectors like Babyface, Squingy, Trooper, Panther. I am only 28 years old and I only hope that the musical sport that I love (clashing) will go back to the way it was. Artiste need to understand that if not for sound systems, that their music would not get heard especially because of the censorship going on in JA now. Artiste need to work with the sound systems and cut them a break. I wish that I could go to Bounty Killer with $1500us and get 4 or 5 tunes. Back to basics is where we need to be. We all need to be in this sport for the fun of it and get paid as a bonus. If a promoter needed me to play for free, but I knew it would get my name out to the massive, guess what I would, because everyone need to pay dues in some form, in order to reep the benefits of stardom.

really and truly i am not that old but i have seen some clashes where babyface tun over dance time and time again...he needs to sit and study where he went wrong because other sound man sit and study him and buss so he just need to go back to killing sound no more hype just play tune...

Boy with all of this bullshit going on in the business its good to see another highly anticipated clash again,at least we know that the sport is still supported.My money is on WAR TANKER dat me sey...Boy me bex how johnny guard dem nuh inna di lime light tho,those were the good days. Addies Tennor saw dem dont have any intro. Tennor dj on addies and Face tape the tune and say a dub. The whole of Addies tennor saw is on you tube. New York? why not Trelawny or Christiana? True Addies a batter for life you a put him up against the KAT. Any ting test the Kat dead. I hope Panther win the toss and make face play first. Baby Face strenght is playing second. Addies play first and Panther dothe attacking face dont stand a chance. If Addies play after KAT him will scrape through. Black Kat for life.

War God blogging up there is an asshole. Nigga so stupid it is almost a crime. Whether somebody is Trinidadian, American, Japanese or whatever nationality and can promote Jamaican culture in a positive way it is good for Jamaica and people back home. Because of Baby Face and Addies lots of artistes cut dubs and advance their careers around the world (Bounty Killa ,Beenieman etc). Because of Addies lots of sounds travelled to the US for the first time. Similarly, because of Mighty Crown lots of artistes and sounds got to Japan and be paid.
Nikki Minaj sound like Jamaican and big up Jamaica on the Gyptian remix.Why don’t you use your foolish argument to diss her. Tell her she is not Jamaican but Trinidadian so Gyptian don’t need her to sell CDs.
We Jamaicans with sense know you are foolish War God because we know the artiste and the sounds can’t live on local events. Go ask Chin

IF Babyface is an asshole...I DOUBT he is the ONLY asshole in the soundclash area...I personally believe that if there were fewer assholes in the sound industry it would be a lot more powerful...but to be honest the way that clash is now you have to wear the persona of a warhead 24.7 or your hype will die out...
