War in the East

soniclionThere was so much confusion after this one. It got crazy! Cheering and booing was taking place at the same time. Some were happy, while others were disappointed. Welcome to the world of cut throat sound clashing....lol. The clash was 4 rounds with a mandatory "tune fi tune" round. No point system was put in place, indicating that it was a fight to the finish.

Supersonic won the first and second round, Mighty Crown took the third, Supersonic took the fourth. I didn't agree with the score..... home court advantage is a motherfucker. Nevertheless, the crowd had the final say). In the "tune fi tune" round, Mighty Crown won 10 straight (by my count). Supersonic said it was 7 to 3. Whatever it was, Mighty Crown won the "tune fi tune" round by far.

The MC was then called to determine who won the clash. Instead of just asking who won the clash, he gave a speech. His words were something like "don't just look at 'tune fi tune' -- look at the whole clash, all the rounds. " Did Mighty Crown win 1st round, 2nd round, 3rd round, 4th round and tune fi tune? Or did Super Sonic win 1st round, 2nd round, 3rd round, 4th round and tune fi tune?" This was asked at least twice with a different result each time. In the end, Supersonic was declared the sound with the most votes. Problem!!! They had just lost the "tune fi tune" badly. How did they win? Well, the promoter, despite announcing that the rounds would not be scored, said the winner must be judged on their overall performance, not just the ending of the clash? Wow! So, it was a two sound clash with no rules at all, but winning "tune fi tune" meant nothing? Not sure if I agree with this one!!

What was the reason for "tune fi tune" I asked? The promoter said because the people wanted to see it! Hmmm! So this means that "tune fi tune" has to be different in Europe I thought. "Tune fi tune" in our world is the deciding factor. You can't lose "tune fi tune" and win a clash unless there is a point system in place that allows such behavior. A good example is Death Before Dishonor 10. Sentinel won all the rounds and tripped in "tune fi tune." Therefore, the cup was awarded to Black Kat, the winner of "tune fi tune." Nevertheless, if the clash was being judged by rounds, Sentinel would have won and there would be no need for a "tune fi tune" round. Once you play "tune fi tune," it's a whole different ball game.

I don't agree with Supersonic's victory, but big dem up still. They are a great sound. And they are locking Europe. It was a good clash. Some good songs were played. There was a lot of fuckery too. But hey... Europeans give forwards for some of the strangest tunes still. You can't judge this dance by the audio trust me!! You had to be there. The dubs from both sounds will be misleading. Lol Mighty Crown mi sey straight pon this one!! Nah tek back mi talk! Sound clash runs under one order... win "tune fi tune" you win de clash!! But, it is... what it is!!!

DREW HOOD INNA MOUTH aka drew h.i.m. made a post today that crown is not built for one on one. Well let me see, dem lose to sonic recently. aside from that, crown dominated the one on one dances last decade, beat bass odyssey in jamaica until the dance was locked off by the police, beat trooper a jamaica, kick up black puss aka black kat nuff time, beat shashamane until dynamik run go give supersonic a special calling out crown\'s name, beat radigon, beat poison dart back to back nights, beat jaro in atlanta, beat stone wall in antigua and i am sure i missed some one on one dances too. can any sounds say that in the last decade, i don\'t know what kind of crack them youths a smoke pon the other site rumor has it them go to bed each night with crown pon them mind and wake up one angry set of bitches because all them sounds dem a try built and push pon the other site a just pop down, synemax, poison dart and addies. whoelse unno write chune for again and where are those sounds these days? F*ck OFF! unno too badmind, unno need to go to church and clean up your hearts. A clean heart a do it.

i came to this conclusion. The MC said one thing when the clash started and another thing at the end. If my memory services correctly, he said there was not points system for the rounds and the dub fe dub have the points. TO my understanding that meant the dub fe dub would decide the winner? Maybe I am wrong, and there is no need to beat this to death. However, somehow, I don\'t know rasta, but I agree with Chin How COULD THE MC SAID IT\'S WHO WON THE OVERALL DANCE, WHEN CLEARLY NO WINNERS WERE ANNOUNCED AT THE EACH OF EACH ROUND, DUB FE DUB, WAS CLOSE BUT HE (THE MC) DID NOT JUDGE EACH ROUND,WHEN HE ANNOUNCED THAT I SAID THE SCREW JOB IS ON. YES I ADMIT, SUPERSONIC HAD A GOOD NIGHT HOWEVER, UP TO THIS DAY, I CANNOT UNDERSTAND WHY THE EACH ROUNDS OF THE DUB FE DUB WAS NOT JUDGED! I DON\'T KNOW THE ANSWER. MAYBE SOME OF YOU DO.

well, Chin Write chunes for crown nothing wrong with that. sounds today have many ghostwriters. But you never hear for one minute C THUG getting diss inna any chunes. He wrote dubs for Sentinel. Star, Cat\'s Boss name RICH KID and Pantha was or is part owner of Black kat now. YES I AGREE WITH YOU THAT DURING A CLASH EVERYTHING IS FAIR GAME FROM MATTHERHORN\'S GAL TO HIM MUMMA. HOWEVER, I THINK WE NEED TO GET BACK TO CLASHING, AND STOP MAKING SOUND CLASHES SO PERSONAL. YES I KNOW PEOPLE USED TO TELL SELECTORS HOW THEM BOSS A f*CK THEM BUT STAR, THAT\'S KINDA A LIFESTYLE NAH NEED TO BE GLORIFY. IMAGINE IN ORDER TO GET A FORWARD THESE DAYS, YOU HAVE WRITE A CHUNE ABOUT ANOTHER MAN F*CKING ANOTHER MAN OR SUCKING P*SSY. AND ME LOSE OFF THE EUROPEAN SOUNDS NOW, BECAUSE AT ONE TIME THEM NEVER VOICE THOSE KIND OF F*CKERY INNA THEM CHUNES. I GUESS IT\'S WAS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME TILL THE JOIN THE MAINSTREAM.
